Virginia Garcia Paint Party

February 28, 2015 @ 11:30 am - 4:15 pm

Virginia Garcia is a catalyst for change in health care delivery. The mission of the Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center is to provide high-quality, comprehensive and culturally appropriate primary health care to the communities of Washington and Yamhill Counties with a special emphasis on migrant and seasonal farm workers and others with barriers to receiving healthcare.

What We’ll Be Doing – Painting Party!
Volunteers will help spruce up the Virginia Garcia Beaverton clinic by prepping and painting patient rooms. We started this project on MLK Day, but 2nd coats of paint and touch ups are still needed in many rooms. Participate in this project and you’ll get to see the final product – a bright and fresh space for patients and clinicians!

Note: While the paint is a low VOC it still has an odor, so volunteers must be able to stand the “fresh paint” smell. Prior painting experience preferred.

Wear closed-toe shoes and clothing that you don’t mind getting paint on. If you have a step stool, small ladder or small-to-medium fan available, please bring it with you. Light snacks will be provided.
