Everyone is welcome for Stewardship Saturday! This family-friendly event is a great opportunity for community members and families to participate in restoration activities and projects that improve Columbia Springs’ 100-acre natural area and the historic Vancouver Trout Hatchery. Projects may include gardening, painting, cleaning, invasive species removal, and more. Every Stewardship Saturday includes a lesson about local ecology to start the day, and concludes with a fun activity like a craft or nature hike. Lessons include topics ranging from local birds to invasive species ecology.

Snacks, tools, and gloves will be provided… so get away from that desk, and get outside! All are welcome, but we ask that kids under 14 have parent or guardian supervision and teens under 16 have parent or guardian permission. Please bring sturdy shoes, appropriate outdoor work clothing, a water bottle, and your enthusiasm for helping the community!
